Give a Dog a Bone Rescue (GDBR) began in August of 2012 when our daughter Maiah was asked to help out at Pima Animal Control Center (PACC) for extra credit at school. She and Stefanie were amazed at the amount of animals that were strays and owner surrender, and then of course there is sickbay. It was heart wrenching to see all those poor dogs and puppies just wanting to have a home. It led our family to a greater awareness of a sad reality of the enormous need to assist these dogs to find long loving homes. Now our family has extended our arms out to helping this cause to get these dogs adopted in Southern Arizona.
GDBR is currently self-funded non-profit organization working on a 501(c)(3), and is committed to reducing the number of homeless, relinquished, abandoned and needlessly destroyed dogs. This promise to the animals has been directly dependent upon the community’s donations of funds, equipment needed and families like ours that start out fostering these needy dogs in their homes. With a large network of veterinary clinics, shelter workers, and other rescues and volunteers who all work together for the same cause. GDBR goal is to assist the Southern Arizona network that enables as many adoptable dogs on death row to be saved as possible. We live to save as many adoptable dogs as possible to put them in homes like yours.
